PM: Civil service must adopt 21st century approach in their work

PUTRAJAYA: The civil service has no choice but to adopt a bold, 21st century approach to the way they do their work if they intend to realise the 1Malaysia vision, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. He said the civil service needed to deliver on the People First, Performance Now promise to the rakyat who have high expectations. “We need to constantly find ways to bring forward new ideas as whoever wins in the contestation of ideas will succeed. “This is the character of the 21st century. (We need) big, bold ideas with effective and speedy execution,” he said in his keynote address at a premier dialogue with the civil service at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre.
